TO GOD BE THE GLORY - GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE

ACES exisits to provide higher educational opportunities for young people in the Philippines (and especially in the town of Morong in the Rizal Province) who have the ability and attitude needed to be able to study at a higher level, but whose family simply cannot afford the fees charged by the university. Based on the old adage that it is better to teach a man to fish rather than give him a fish, ACES tries to equip young people with the tools not only to help themselves, but also their families, and other young people in the future.
ACES works by raising money to support young people through higher education. The potential Scholars are identified at high school by the teaching staff and are then interviewed by the trustees. ACES then pays the course fees, and whenever possible an allowance for books, course equipment, travel etc. The Scholar gives a commitment to study diligently, and email a progress log which will be posted on this website to let donors know of progress being made. ACES then requests that upon graduation, the Scholar spends one year working amongst the less fortunate in the Philippines. They are then encouraged to move overseas to a country of their choice, where they are able to earn much more money than had they stayed in the Philippines. For the first three years of their overseas work, we ask that they donate 10% of their net salary back to ACES so that the work can go on, without the constant need for finding new donors

ACES is registered as a charity in England, number 1122642
