Like all charities, our work depends on how much money we are able to raise, and then how much of that money we spend on administration. To address the second point first - we keep our administration costs to a minimum. We try to visit the Philippines at least once a year, but fund this ourselves so that we can take a holiday as well. We have an administrator in the Philippines - her costs are also met by us personally as she undertakes other tasks unrelated to ACES - we may need to review this policy in future years depending on how big ACES becomes, but so far since 2008, ACES has not had to bear any of these costs.
Fundraising is ongoing. We have attended some car boot sales with mixed success and have various events planned for later this year - see our 'events' page for details. Either Philip or Ester are happy to come and address your meeting, email us your details and we will sort out a date.
We are so grateful to the family and friends who have donated so far - without their support we would not have got this far, but we are always seeking more funds. If you would like to give - however much you can afford, please send your donation to the address on the home page. Cheques should be payable to ACES. We would be delighted if you were able to give on a regular basis - this will allow us much more freedom to plan our scholarship programmes into the future.
